September 16 – League of California Cities’ annual state conference in San Diego. Presentation on “A Local Official’s Guide to Working with Clergy and Congregations,” Co-authored by Rabbi Miller with the Institute for Local Government (Affiliate of the League of California Cities and the California State Association of Counties)

Shanghai seminar
September 22 – Presentation at Shanghai seminar on religion in China, “Religion and Urban Culture,” in conjunction with EXPO 2010. Rabbi Miller served as consultant for the EXPO on religious diversity and conference co-coordinator.
San Bruno Fire Chief
For the San Bruno explosion incident response, Rabbi Miller provided coordination of clergy and congregation resources, based on three year pilot project with the County Office of Emergency Services. Participating here in briefing with the San Bruno Fire Chief on the status of gas line explosion.
